GIVEAWAY! (and some Positive Thinking)

Tuesday was horrible. Just flat out horrible. I was feeling so sorry for myself and just wanted to curl up in a ball and sleep. After a few breakdowns and a good night sleep, I woke up yesterday determined to cure my Achilles through positive thinking. I've been trying to have only positive thoughts about how tomorrow's test run will go and have been visualizing running pain free. I totally believe in the power of positive thinking, especially when it comes to those with disease, etc, but I've never tried to apply it to myself. And I have to say, it's actually really hard. Makes me wonder how someone so far worse off than me can stay positive through such rough times and I'm crying over an Achilles. Well, no more crying!!  I've started a pack list, I'm going to start packing this weekend, and I'm going to allow myself to get excited. I've waited so long for this day to get here and no matter what, I'll make the most of it and enjoy every step along the way!!

Now, to make up for my crankiness, how about a GIVEAWAY!! I'm all about headbands, never run without one. I can't stand to have hairs tickling my face and I really don't enjoy sweat in my eyes. Well, I recently received some Razzy Roo headbands to try out. As per the site, these are "non-slip sports headbands for the...'Sassy Sporty Gal.'" The headbands come in different widths and the cutest patterns! My favorite..."hoooty hoot is so cute"

And I think I need this one for the beach, "Day in Paradise"

As advertised, the headbands don't slip, although I will say I haven't worn one when racing. I think they are too cute for that and wear them out and about instead! However, I have seen people wearing these for races. But regardless, they don't slip, they are very comfortable, and very affordable. Depending on width, the bands range from $12 - $15. And there's more than just headbands. There are some really fun knee high socks* and even tutus!!

I NEED these socks!!!

RazzyRoo is offering up some headbands!! If you would like to win all you have to do is 1) be a follower and 2) head over and "like" their facebook page and say RunDeniseRun sent you. It's that easy. I'll pick a winner next Wednesday, April 13th.

and sending some good energy your way. I know it sounds SOOO cliche but everything happens for a reason. Some good will come from this...
When I hurt my knee, I was so sad and frustrated that I could not run -I finally gave in and went to PT. WHile in PT we made some changes to my running and now Im running faster than before and pain free. I also learned SO much.
So while the knee pain lasted a long time and I was so bummed, something GOOD did come from it.

I know you will find your silver lining too :) Keep that positive mind set

We've only ever run in freezing cold temps, so I think I've only seen you in hats, not headbands :)
