Flattering

A woman who works out every morning at the gym came up to me today and asked what I was training for. It's silly, but that was really flattering. It was like someone noticed the hard work I'm putting in and knew it must be for something. We chatted for a while about running and training and the commitment it takes to get ready for a marathon. I didn't understand it myself before I started training, but it's really like a second job. I have to get up and do it every day, no matter how tired I am, how much I don't want to run, etc. I can't make excuses and just take a day off and everything I do is planned around my running schedule. I'm sure this doesn't sound like much fun, doesn't even sound fun to me when I read it, but I'm loving it and what it's done for me, my health and my life.

Will you go back to normal and eat a cupcake after the marathon???? Hee hee. We are really proud of you! (But I still think you need a cupcake)

That's a treat?!?! For your birthday, I'll make you a nice bowl of cereal. I don't think the 32 candles will survive, though.
